ATLANTIC - Video of the Tropical Atlantic from NOAA's GOES-East satellite from June 21-25. What's happening?
There's a tropical wave embedded in the ITCZ (inter-tropical convergence zone along 32 west that is moving west near 20 knots. **There's another tropical wave in the southeastern Caribbean Sea stretching from 16 north and 66 west to 10 north and 70 west. It is moving to the west-northwest as fast as 25 knots, but dry air and dust from a Saharan Air Layer outbreak is hindering thunderstorm development... It is producing hazy skies in the Leeward Islands today, according to the National Hurricane Center. Video credit: NASA/NOAA GOES Project.
